Pricing and Payment

Lara strives to keep pricing reasonable while accommodating a wide range of dietary needs and meal options. The prices and methods of payment accepted are listed below.

Pricing Overview

Our pricing covers three components: shopping, cooking, and delivery. A flat service fee is applied for shopping and meal preparation, which includes ingredient selection, recipe customization, meal assembly, and packaging. Delivery within the agreed service area is included in the service fee; extended-distance or expedited delivery may incur an additional charge, which will be disclosed upfront.

The cost of groceries is not included in the service fee. After shopping is completed, we will communicate the exact grocery total and add it as a separate line item to your invoice. Payment for groceries is collected after shopping and prior to or at delivery, depending on your selected billing preference.

  • Special requests (premium ingredients, rare items, or substitutions) may increase grocery costs; we will confirm these before purchase when possible.

  • If unavailable items require replacement, we will choose the best alternative based on your preferences and notify you of any price differences.

  • Cancellation or changes after shopping has begun may still result in billing for purchased groceries and a partial service fee.

Payment Methods

The personal chef fee is charged at the time you place your order. The grocery bill is collected upon delivery.

  • Preferred Method — Cash is collected upon delivery.

  • Debit Card and Credit Card payments (Visa / Mastercard / Amex) are accepted. Please note: there is a surcharge of 3% for processing fees that will be applied to the total.

  • Payment via Venmo are to be submitted to @Lara-Toronto

  • Zelle payments can be submitted directly to (443) 221-1104
